Birthmark & Tattoos

Birthmarks can present at birth or appears shortly after birth.
They can occur anywhere on the skin.
Generally it caused by an overgrowth of certain structure in the skin. Overgrowth of blood vessels will results in vascular birthmarks; an overgrowth of pigment cells will causes moles
Treatment recommendations are made depending on the colour, darkness, size and intensity of the birthmark.
In the case of a tattoo, we need to consider the depth & colour of the ink, and how old it is as well.
